On July 26th, No Dogs Left Behind (NDLB) hosted its poignant “Hope on the Harbor” fundraiser at the Breakwater Yacht Club in Sag Harbor, New York. The event, dedicated to raising funds to combat the dog meat trade in East Asia, was a heartfelt evening of advocacy and support. Guests, including honorees Myra Hackel and Marcy Unterman Czeizler, gathered under the warm summer sky, united by a commitment to save the voiceless and end cruelty.
The evening featured a touching display of survivors from the dog meat trade, now safe and available for adoption, reminding everyone of the real impact of their contributions. With the serene harbor as a backdrop, attendees enjoyed fine food, signature cocktails, and the company of like-minded advocates dedicated to global animal welfare.
Thanks to the generous support of sponsors like Dave & Claudia Zulejkic and the Schneider Family Charitable Foundation, the event not only raised awareness but also significant funds to aid NDLB’s crucial rescue operations. This memorable night marked another step forward in the fight for animal rights and the abolition of the dog meat trade.
