On a sun-drenched Saturday at Herrick Park, East Hampton, the 76th annual Artists & Writers Game unfolded with an array of notable figures like Katie Couric, Ann Liguori, Carl Bernstein, and Blythe Danner taking the field. This storied event not only celebrates a long-standing East End tradition but also harnesses the spirit of community and competition to support vital local charities. From the lively pitches to the spirited cheers, every swing and hit contributed to causes such as The Eleanor Whitmore Early Childhood Center, Phoenix House Academy, The Retreat, and East End Hospice. The game encapsulates a commitment to both fun and philanthropy, making it a highlight of the summer season.
