On the evening of August 21, 2024, the East End Underground Live Concert Series was electrified by Corky Laing’s unforgettable performance, “Nantucket Sleighride.” Held at a vibrant local venue, the concert featured Corky Laing, the legendary drummer and vocalist, alongside his talented bandmates Peter Baron on guitar, Joe Nerve on bass, and Ken Sidotti on keyboards, with special guest artists enhancing the night. The group performed the entire “Nantucket Sleighride” album by Mountain, among other classic hits from Corky’s extensive career spanning over five decades.
As the melodies filled the air, Corky intertwined musical performances with intimate stories from his rock ‘n’ roll journey, sharing the stage with icons like Mick Jagger, Eric Clapton, and John Lennon. His tales of the past brought a personal touch to the evening, giving fans insight into the experiences behind the creation of some of rock’s greatest hits.
The event not only celebrated Corky’s rich musical legacy but also marked his last performance in the USA before embarking on a comprehensive 23-day tour across Europe.
