
Guild Hall is excited to announce the 85th Artist Members Exhibition, set to take place in the newly renovated galleries this fall. This year’s exhibition promises to be a showcase of the incredible talent within the local arts community, highlighting the works of Guild Hall’s dedicated artist members.
Key Dates to Remember:
- Registration Opens: August 30, 2024
- Registration Closes: October 7, 2024
- Artwork Drop-Off: November 1 & 2, 2024, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
- Exhibition Opening Reception: November 16, 2024
- Exhibition Open to the Public: November 17, 2024
- Exhibition Closes: January 5, 2025
- Artwork Pick-Up: January 9-11, 2025, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
This year’s exhibition will be juried by Storm Ascher, an independent curator, writer, and founder of Superposition Gallery and The Hamptons Black Arts Council. Ascher will select honorable mentions and a top honors winner, with the top honors winner receiving the opportunity for a future exhibition at Guild Hall.
Artist Participation Requirements:
- Open to Guild Hall members aged 18 and over, with membership valid through January 2025.
- Only one artwork per artist is permitted, and it must have been completed within the last five years.
- Artwork size restrictions apply, and all pieces must be ready to hang.
- A digital image of the artwork must be submitted during registration, along with a $50 entry fee.
Exhibition Highlights: Guild Hall’s online platform will allow visitors to view and purchase the exhibited artwork. Artists will receive 50% of the sale price, and works priced between $250 and $1200 tend to be the most successful. Art enthusiasts are encouraged to explore and support local talent at this highly anticipated event.
Awards: Honorable mentions will be announced at the opening reception, and the top honors winner will receive a future exhibition in the Spiga Gallery at Guild Hall. This is a fantastic opportunity for artists to gain recognition and connect with the broader art community.
