HarborFest 2024 lit up Sag Harbor on September 14 and 15, transforming the village into a bustling hub of art, music, and maritime history. Hosted by the Sag Harbor Chamber of Commerce, the event showcased the area’s rich cultural and artistic heritage, drawing visitors from near and far to enjoy a weekend filled with activities, performances, and local crafts. From live music and children’s activities to the thrilling whaleboat races, there was something for everyone.
The festival kicked off on Friday, September 13, with the “Save the Whale” concert by the Nancy Atlas Band at Old Whalers’ Church, setting the tone for a memorable weekend. Highlights included the Arts and Crafts Fair at Marine Park, live performances from local favorites like Gene Casey and The Lone Sharks, and the beloved whaleboat races that brought excitement to the waterfront. Guests indulged in the Taste of Sag Harbor, sampling delicious local food, craft beers, and wines, while families enjoyed games, pop-up performances, and more at Windmill Beach. The event also featured special exhibitions at the Eastville Historical Society and Sag Harbor Whaling and Historical Museum, and the lively Clam Chowder Contest drew a crowd eager to vote for their favorite.
