The Samuel Waxman Cancer Research Foundation (SWCRF) hosted its 4th Annual Kids Cancel Cancer fundraiser at The Clubhouse in East Hampton, where young philanthropists stepped up to make a difference. The event, co-chaired by Mischa Abend, Abey Fuks, Ava Litman, and Hayley Silvers, combined delicious food, arcade games, mini golf, raffles, and spirited live and silent auctions for a night filled with fun and purpose.
The evening raised nearly $100,000 (with a dollar-for-dollar match pledged by The Mark Foundation for Cancer Research), directly funding four groundbreaking investigators advancing pediatric cancer research. Guests were deeply moved by the speech of survivor and advocate Ben Kahne, who shared his personal journey with a rare brain tumor and emphasized the importance of research in saving lives.
Dr. Samuel Waxman praised the teenage advocates for their leadership and dedication, noting that “Kids Cancel Cancer is proof that philanthropy—at any age—can drive real change.”
Notable guests included Mischa Abend, Abey Fuks, Ava Litman, Hayley Silvers, Ben Kahne, Lori and Scott Levine, Dr. Samuel and Marion Waxman, William T. Sullivan, and Howie Schwartz. The event highlighted the power of youth activism in fueling hope and progress for children and families affected by cancer worldwide.
