On Saturday, May 18, 2024, ARF celebrated its 50th anniversary at the Pet Celebration Day held at the ARF Adoption Center in East Hampton. The event brought together families, pets, and friends for a fun-filled day that honored ARF’s rescue efforts over the past half-century and looked ahead to the next 50 years.
The celebration was packed with attractions and activities, including local business vendors, food trucks, music, contests, and a dog agility course. ARF’s Executive Director/CEO Kim Nichols gave a heartfelt presentation, and the organization received proclamations from New York Senator Anthony Palumbo, Assemblyman Fred Thiele, and East Hampton Town Supervisor Kathee Burke-Gonzalez.
ARF extends heartfelt thanks to everyone who brought donations for their Pet Food Pantry. The support from the community helps ARF continue its vital work in rescuing and rehoming animals. Here’s to another 50 years of making a difference in the lives of beloved pets!
