The Hampton Theatre Company invites you to celebrate the holidays with their special three-day presentation of “A Christmas Carol: A Live Radio Play”, running from December 13 to 15, 2024, at the Quogue Community Hall.
Adapted by Joe Landry from the classic Charles Dickens novel, this family-friendly production reimagines the beloved tale as a live 1940s radio broadcast. Complete with period costumes, live sound effects, and heartwarming performances, this rendition is the perfect way to get into the holiday spirit.
About the Play:
Set in the fictional WBFR radio station in 1940s New York City, the production brings to life the timeless story of Ebenezer Scrooge, the miserly businessman who discovers the true meaning of kindness and charity during one miraculous Christmas Eve. Guided by the Ghosts of Christmas Past, Present, and Future, Scrooge reconnects with his family, embraces generosity, and brings joy to the Cratchits—including the irrepressible Tiny Tim.
The evening includes a sing-along with the radio troupe, making it a joyous celebration for all ages.
