On June 28th, 2025, the historic Mulford Farm in East Hampton hosted the Eleanor Whitmore Early Childhood Center’s Summer Benefit, themed “Tiny Feet, Big Futures.” The event celebrated the importance of early education and raised vital funds to support affordable childcare and programming for working families on the East End.
Guests enjoyed a warm evening of live music by Pete & the Stray Dogs, delicious hors d’oeuvres and a raw bar from East Hampton Kitchen, drinks from Wölffer Wines and local distilleries, and a curated silent auction. One of the night’s most touching highlights was the awarding of the 2025 Eleanor Prize to Peter Van Scoyoc, recognized for his lasting contributions to the Center and his commitment to East Hampton’s families during his tenure as Town Supervisor.
With community spirit high and generosity abundant, the event honored the legacy of Eleanor Whitmore while securing a brighter future for generations of young learners.
