Sag Harbor buzzed with energy during HarborFest 2025, as the village hosted a full weekend of festivities celebrating community, history, and seaside tradition. The annual arts and crafts fair in Marine Park featured more than 50 artisans offering fine jewelry, woodworking, photography, and handmade goods, while “A Taste of Sag Harbor” on Long Wharf showcased local flavors. Each morning began with free yoga on Windmill Beach, followed by family-favorite activities like sack races, tug-of-war, and corn-shucking contests.
Music was at the heart of the weekend, with live performances across Steinbeck Park, Long Wharf, and Bay Street Theater, featuring acts like the Nancy Atlas Band, Gene Casey and the Lone Sharks, Lynn Blue Band, and Jettykoon. Maritime traditions took center stage with the signature whaleboat races, along with clam-shucking and the always-popular clam chowder contest, which raised funds for local causes. Visitors also enjoyed scenic harbor cruises, a hearty pancake breakfast hosted by the Sag Harbor Fire Department, and historic tours at the Old Whalers Church.
Cultural highlights included exhibits at the Sag Harbor Cinema, Sag Harbor Historical Museum, Eastville Historical Society Heritage House, and the Sag Harbor Whaling and Historical Museum, ensuring that art, history, and heritage remained woven into the celebrations. From food and music to community spirit and historic traditions, HarborFest once again proved itself a jewel of Sag Harbor’s summer calendar.
